As women, it is important to realize that to be healthy and physically fit, we must focus on more than proper diet and traditional exercise. To have a sense of wholeness and obtain homeostasis, we must focus on our mental and emotional states as well. Women also need to understand their monthly cycles, why they have them, and the moon's influential role. The Luna Fitness program is designed for women, by women, to help each client understand their nutritional, supplemental, and exercise needs throughout their monthly cycle. By creating a road map for food intake, water consumption, supplementation, exercise, feelings, and P.M.S. symptoms, the Luna Fitness Charts are a simple check list that enables women to see their patterns and get a good look at the issues she has around food and menstruation/menopause. Our program helps each woman realize why she experiences mood swings, cravings, cramps, hot flashes, depression, and other symptoms attached to her cycle, by designing charts that are individualized for each woman's cycle, in accordance with the moon's cycle. Luna Fitness's philosophy is to educate each woman on how to master proper nutrition, supplementation, and exercise, along with a better understanding of her emotional and physical needs, to make her cycles as normal as possible.

Luna Fitness designs a personalized meal plan for each client to meet her nutritional requirements. Focused around her monthly cycle, this plan caters to a woman's individual lifestyle and physical needs. Clients are taught the proper portion sizes, how to eat right for her body during her busy schedule, and what foods are best to order in restaurants - all without feeling deprived. Educating each woman by counseling them on which foods to avoid during the luteal and menstrual phases of her cycle, the program helps to lessen or even eliminate symptoms of P.M.S., cramps, and/or heavy bleeding. Finally, this plan determines the amount of water each woman needs during the different phases of her cycle due to her weight, level of activity, and the environment in which she lives. Luna Fitness's meal plan is not a diet; it is a way of living.

Women must make supplementation a part of their daily lives, and the Luna Fitness program will counsel each woman on what her individual supplement needs are throughout her cycle. In today's society, we are eating less whole foods and too much processed food. With all the extra environmental toxins in the air and soil these days, even the whole foods that we are eating are not as nourishing as they used to be. Therefore, we must realize that adding supplements such as vitamins and minerals are a necessity in achieving optimal health. However, we women have special needs above and beyond the standard multi-vitamin and anti-oxidants. Because we menstruate, go through pregnancy, nurse, and go through menopause, our bodies have even greater needs for supplementing nutrients. If we do not nourish our bodies with these nutrients, we will suffer increased symptoms of cramps, mood swings, cravings, hot flashes, fatigue, a weakened immune system and more. Studies have shown that taking supplements can also help fight off cancer, heart disease, osteoporosis, Alzheimer's, and other illnesses.

Exercise plays a huge role in obtaining homeostasis and optimal health. By creating an exercise routine that is custom tailored to each woman's cycle, goals, lifestyle, and physical limitations, Luna Fitness trains each woman's body how to function more efficiently while improving bad posture. The training program also helps resolve muscle imbalances and strengthens a woman's core muscles to prevent injury in her daily life as well as during her workouts. Learning to stretch correctly for maximum flexibility, the client is taught how to avoid injury and aid in the reduction of neck, shoulder, back, and hip pain. Through traditional and modern training methods, each program is designed to sculpt and tone a woman's body to look and feel the best it can. Each woman is also instructed on exactly which type of cardio is best for her, how much cardio she will need to do, and when she will need to do it. This will not only speed up the fat loss and toning processes, it will also help diminish P.M.S., cramps and other symptoms associated with their monthly cycle.

In addition to physical training and stretching, deep breathing exercises are a critical part of the Luna Fitness program. Deep breathing helps our lymphatic system move toxins out of our body. Without movement and deep diaphragm breathing, our lymphatic system would be dormant and not function the way it was designed. Part of the Luna Fitness training program are deep breathing exercises done throughout each day. These exercises energize women, making them more alert, reducing stress, and helping them stay relaxed.

Through the personalized Luna Fitness Charts, each woman learns her daily patterns and habits, how much she honestly eats, the amount of water she actually drinks, if she gets enough sleep, and if she truly does her daily exercises. It will help her better understand her monthly cycle and explain why she feels a certain way during the different phases of her cycle. These charts are a check list designed around the phases of the moon and only takes a few minutes to fill out each day. If a woman is not achieving her goals as soon as she should be, her charts will have all the data to tell us why. Did she eat more calories than she was allotted? Was she slacking on the recommended cardio? Was she taking her vitamins every day? These charts will tell the truth and why. The Luna Fitness training program works best when it is done fully and consistently, and the only way to know this is by charting it daily. Only then can a client begin to heal emotionally and hormonally. Every client is given an easy to use daily checklist and Luna Fitness does all the calorie counting, charting, and graphing from them.

The Luna Fitness Charts will also benefit women by helping them identify with the effects the moon's cycle has on her menstrual cycle. In a perfect world, all women would cycle together, ovulating during the full moon and menstruating during the new moon. But due to electricity, birth control and other synthetic man made creations, this is no longer possible. A woman may notice that she craves certain foods pre-menstrually and even more intensely when the moon is in a phase opposite of what it should be at that time. If she is on birth control, she may notice that the forces of the moon intensifies her emotions and feelings and even causes heavier bleeding because her cycle is in opposition of what it should be naturally. In short, the Luna Fitness Program helps women's cycles become as normal and natural as possible through awareness.
